1. What is LockingEyes?

LockingEyes is a platform dedicated to missed connections — real-life moments where two people briefly crossed paths but did not have a chance to talk or exchange contact information. Users can share their stories or read posts from others around the world.

2. Do I need an account to post a story?

No. Currently, LockingEyes allows users to submit stories without creating an account. You only need to provide a nickname when posting.

3. How do I share my own missed connection story?

You can submit your story through the Share Story section:

Include the city, location, what happened, and any details you remember about the person.

4. Will my story be public?

Yes. Every story posted on LockingEyes is publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines. Please avoid sharing any private or sensitive information.

5. Can I delete or edit a story after posting it?

Since posts are submitted without accounts, we do not offer self-editing features. If you need a story removed, contact us at:

Provide the story URL and the reason for removal. Requests are handled case-by-case.

6. Can I share someone else's contact information?

No. For privacy and safety reasons, you may not include phone numbers, emails, social accounts, or detailed home/work addresses. Your post may be removed if it contains personal contact details.

7. What types of stories are allowed?

Allowed:

Real-life missed connections
Short emotional or meaningful encounters
Heartfelt or romantic stories
Friendly or memorable interactions

Not allowed:

Harassment, threats, hate speech
Explicit or adult content
False or harmful claims about real individuals
Personal contact information
Spam or promotional posts

8. Can I upload photos or videos?

Currently, LockingEyes only supports text-based stories. Media uploads may be added in future updates.

9. How do I find stories from my city?

You can browse stories organized by country and city. Each story includes “Country → City” metadata to help readers find local posts.

10. Is LockingEyes free to use?

Yes. Reading and posting stories on LockingEyes is completely free.

11. Will I be notified if someone finds my story?

We currently do not send notifications. However, readers may comment on your story. Check back occasionally to see if someone has replied.

12. Can someone find me through my story?

Only if you choose to make yourself identifiable. We recommend using a nickname and avoiding personal details. Please post safely and protect your privacy.
